Both old and new passenger cars may be able to share the same engine oil formula, but not the same viscosity grade!
The viscosity grade is one of the most important points that car users should consider when buying an engine oil as the wrong number can decrease your engine performance and may cause the engine to deteriorate quickly. Therefore, it is important that you make sure both standard ,formular and the viscosity grade matches your usage.

PERFORMA SYNTEC PLUS
A high quality synthetic technology engine oil from PTT Lubricants specially formulated for conventional and the new generation of high performance gasoline engines with direct injection systems (GDI and Turbo-GDI). This formula is also certified by the latest global standards API SP and ILSAC GF-6.

🚘 For new cars, we recommend PERFORMA SYNTEC PLUS, SAE 5W-30.
PERFORMA SYNTEC PLUS SAE 5W-30 is suitable for vehicles requiring XW-30* viscosity grade engine oil, which are vehicles with mileage of less than 100,000 km or vehicles with mileage over 100,000 km that have normal engine oil consumption rate (not more than 10%).
PERFORMA SYNTEC PLUS, SAE 5W-30 will provide smoothness, better acceleration and fuel economy while also protecting your engine from wear and dirt as well.
* XW-30 viscosity grade such as 0W-30 5W-30 and 10W-30 etc.
🚘 For old cars, we recommend PERFORMA SYNTEC PLUS SAE 10W-40.
PERFORMA SYNTEC PLUS SAE 10W-40 is suitable for old cars or cars that are often used for long distances with mileage exceeding 100,000 km and have engine oil consumption rate higher than 10-15%.
Having higher viscosity than the XW-30, the viscosity grade 10W-40 engine oil comes with a thicker oil film that can provide more protection of the engine and maintain good compression. It also helps reduce the engine oil consumption rate as well.
Note: The viscosity grade recommendation above is only a preliminary recommendation. The proper viscosity number depends on the condition and the use of each car.
