4 essential checks for safe driving in the rainy season

Apart from the heat, summer also brings summer storms which continue into the rainy season. Today, PTT Lubricants would like to recommend everyone to check the important parts of your car in order to get ready for driving safely on slippery roads and poor visibility in the rainy season. Let's see which car parts you need to specially check and service!

☑️ 1. Lighting system:

To ensure safe driving, visibility is very important. So, we have to check the condition of lighting and signaling devices such as headlights, tail lights, turn signals, brake lights, dashboard warning lights etc. Make sure that all car lights are always ready and in good conditions to increase your confidence while driving in the rain. Furthermore, this is not only the safety of ourselves but also for others on the road as well!

☑️ 2. Windshield wipers:

It is necessary to keep the windshield wipers in a good condition especially when you drive in heavy rain. There should be no signs of stiffness, slow wiping and scraping noise on the glass. These signals indicate that the wipers deteriorate due to any environmental factors. So, it's time to replace the wiper blade rubber. Make sure that the windshield wipers can clean the window surface completely for good driving vision on the rainy road.

☑️ 3. Brake system:

Driving on the slippery and puddle roads can reduce the braking performance for stopping and slowing down a vehicle. Therefore, in order to drive safely, we should check the parts of the brake system such as brake fluid, brake pads, brake discs and brake pipes, etc. If there are any abnormal noises or brake pedal sink, it's time to get your car inspected by a professional car service center.

☑️ 4. Tires:

Make sure that the tires of your car are still in good shape, conditions, and efficient water evacuation when roads are wet and slippery. It is strongly recommended that you check the tread wear since it may affect water evacuation properties of the tires. You should also clean the tires and remove gravels, stones as well as any foreign objects stuck in the tread. For anyone who drives on the rainy road with worn-out tires or over service life tires, it is advisable that you replace your tires to avoid danger.

We hope everyone will drive safely during this rainy season! And don't forget to choose PTT Lubricants products for better performances of your vehicle. Available now at PTT Station, FIT Auto, and PTT Lubricants distributing stores near you!
